The Girls on the Run Riverside County Junior Advisory Board is a cohort of high school students dedicated to supporting Girls on the Run efforts to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident while gaining leadership skills and improving their communities.
The board is comprised of young individuals of diverse races, ethnicities, socioeconomic statuses, abilities, perspectives and life experiences with a shared passion for the Girls on the Run mission, vision and core values.
The Junior Advisory Board’s first project will be to help expand our programming to included participants from the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community.
As a founding member of the Junior Advisory Board, you will be given the opportunity to develop, lead, and implement projects like:
♥ Create bylaws for the board♥ Expand GOTR curriculum so that it is accessible for all participants in our community♥ Co-coach teams of girls grades 3rd - 8th who are hearing, deaf, and hard-of-hearing♥ Develop communication skills across English and American Sign Language♥ Promote diversity and respect for deaf culture♥ Develop self-esteem, leadership skills, and social skills for all participants

The Junior Advisory Board requires 4 hours of your time per month from October 2022 - March 2023 with meetings held either in-person or virtually on the 2nd and 4th Sunday from 4pm - 6pm. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity for leadership, connection, and inspiration!
If our Junior Advisory Board does not spark your interest, please know our council is accepting applications for Junior Coaches. As a Junior Coach, you will have the opportunity to mentor girls in grades 3rd - 8th and help inspire them to be joyful, healthy and confident.
Junior Coaches must be in grades 9th - 12th and have interest in the Girls on the Run core values.
